What is the
marble carpet ?

Marble carpet represents the premium version of bonded aggregate flooring. This system uses exclusively fragments of real marble, this noble stone used for centuries in the most beautiful European monuments and palaces.

Unlike classic stone carpets that mix different types of gravel, the marble carpet consists only of rolled marble aggregates selected for their quality and natural beauty. These pieces of marble come from renowned quarries, then carefully crushed and polished to obtain fragments with rounded edges, soft to the touch and comfortable barefoot.

The process combines these calibrated marble aggregates with a bio-based polyurethane resin formulated from castor oil. This marble carpet floor offers an exceptional aesthetic result with the reflections and natural nuances characteristic of marble. Appreciated by both individuals and professionals, it adapts to all your projects.

The marble granulate has the unique advantage of revealing the authentic mineral beauty of this noble stone. Each fragment has its own veins, crystallizations and natural reflections that create a visual depth.

Our range offers three grain sizes suitable for different uses. The fine aggregates (2-4 mm) offer a tightly grained surface, ideal for an elegant and refined finish. Medium aggregates (4-6 mm) are our standard choice, perfect for terraces and pool decks. The thick aggregates (6-8 mm) create a more marked relief, recommended for walkways.

STEPS

How does this work ?

The realization of a marble carpet follows a technical process mastered in three essential steps. Each phase is crucial to ensure an optimal result in terms of aesthetics, durability and performance. Our expertise allows us to accompany you from A to Z in your project.

Choice of marble aggregate

The first step is to select the type of marble that will perfectly match your project and your desires. We guide you in choosing the granulometry (size of marble fragments).

Preparation of the support

The quality of the preparation directly determines the success and durability of your coating. That’s why we meticulously prepare your existing surface (tiles, concrete, slab) to ensure optimal adhesion. This phase includes cleaning, degreasing, checking the flatness and, if necessary, applying a primer.

Installation of the marble carpet

The application requires a precise mixture of aggregates and resin, spread over 8 to 12 mm with meticulous smoothing for a draining and uniform finish. The drying allows a pedestrian crossing after 12 hours and vehicle under 48 to 72 hours, ensuring optimal resistance after 7 days.

My stone terrace was built in 2010, 14 years ago. It is still in perfect condition. Maintenance is easy at the end of each winter. To keep it looking like new, you need to reapply resin every 3 or 4 years. It's easy to apply using a brush for the edges and a roller for large areas. The only downside is that they can't be reused afterwards. I would definitely recommend it. The result is stunning and can be customized.
