stone carpet?

Stone carpet, also known as marble carpet or stone rug, is a decorative and durable floor covering that is ideal for terraces. It combines the natural elegance of mineral aggregates with the performance of high-quality resin for a finish that is both attractive and resistant.

Composed of carefully selected marble, quartz or gravel aggregates, stone carpet is bound by a bio-based polyurethane resin made from castor oil. This binder ensures excellent cohesion of the covering, while guaranteeing optimal resistance to weathering, scratches and repeated foot traffic.

Applied in a continuous layer 8 to 12 mm thick, with no visible joints, stone carpet provides a uniform, draining and non-slip surface that is perfectly suited to outdoor spaces. Its natural and contemporary appearance enhances terraces, balconies and pool surrounds.

Choosing the aggregate

Select the aggregate (marble, quartz or gravel) and colour that best suits your style and the use of your terrace. Our complete colour chart and personalised advice will help you create a unique and harmonious floor.

Preparation of the substrate

We carefully prepare your existing surface (concrete slab, tiles or old covering) to ensure optimal adhesion. This step includes cleaning, levelling and, if necessary, applying a primer, which is essential for a durable installation.

Installation and finishing

The mixture of aggregates and resin is applied in a uniform layer of 8 to 12 mm. After smoothing, the coating dries quickly and becomes usable in a few days, providing an elegant, comfortable and durable terrace for years to come.

My stone terrace was built in 2010, 14 years ago. It is still in perfect condition. Maintenance is easy at the end of each winter. To keep it looking like new, you need to reapply resin every 3 or 4 years. It's easy to apply using a brush for the edges and a roller for large areas. The only downside is that they can't be reused afterwards. I would definitely recommend it. The result is stunning and can be customized.
