The client wanted to create an attractive and durable tree surround, while ensuring effective drainage around the trunk.

Our intervention step by step

The intervention began with the precise demarcation of the perimeter around the tree, followed by the excavation and removal of existing materials in order to create a sound foundation. The substrate was then carefully adjusted, levelled and compacted to ensure perfect stability over time. A drainage foundation was installed across the entire surface, allowing for optimal water circulation and preventing any stagnation at the base of the tree.

The drainage resin was then carefully applied, combining two shades of beige for the outline and burgundy purple to create an aesthetic and structuring contrast. The coating was pulled and smoothed with precision to ensure a uniform, resistant and perfectly permeable surface.

Finally, the central reservation was finished with decorative pebbles and integrated lighting, providing an elegant finish that highlights the tree while maintaining the drainage performance of the installation.

My stone terrace was built in 2010, 14 years ago. It is still in perfect condition. Maintenance is easy at the end of each winter. To keep it looking like new, you need to reapply resin every 3 or 4 years. It's easy to apply using a brush for the edges and a roller for large areas. The only downside is that they can't be reused afterwards. I would definitely recommend it. The result is stunning and can be customized.
